The structure of this form is quite unique being made up of close set oblique lamellae making it very difficult to descale. Outer lip thick and intact operculum present.  This species is subject to many needle perforations on the spire and early whorls so I have got to select specimens like this one without this feature. No spire erosion. Mother of pearl displayed in the aperture.
