An extraordinary large piece. The shape & mother of pearl makes it a good show piece at the rear of the cabinet. Outer surface is original and must not be bleached! Oiled on occasion to stop the outer fringe from cracking. Only one of so I have it listed in Tridacnidae but its genus is actually Pteria.
